The Blastolene Special, also known as the “Tank Car” is a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! custom. Its 29.3L V12 (from a M47 Patton) needed an oil change, so instead of draining its almost 70-quart oil capacity in the garage, he took it to Jiffy Lube. That’s right: Jiffy Lube. He got a pretty good deal on the service, too.

Aaaaandd I’ll still never trust one of those after my mom had her car’s oil plug (or some bolt) completely fucked up after a oil change

I used them once to change my oil when I didnt have a chance to do it myself after moving to a new city. 6 months later, I find that they stripped the drain plug. Never again.
BaconSandwich is tasty.

I’ve heard way too many stories like this to even ever consider an oil change place.

Love how all on screen folks are hired actors instead of real employees

The video sucked the whole point was that it takes 17 gallons of oil and then I don’t even get to see the oil changed and the resulting giant barrel of oil it takes!

I’m assuming that random crap like this is why many coupons say *up to five quarts. I doubt many cars like this are rolling around. Good commercial though.

If you were Leno would you actually allow a Jiffy lube employee to touch your car? Maybe if you were looking over the shoulder and had a crop to smack them if they reached for an impact wrench.

When we were on our honeymoon in 1984 we spent 8 months on the road in a ‘76 VW camper bus. Needing oil changes I had to rely on such places. Knowing that foreign cars, metric tools, and VW’s weren’t really common, I took my own tools and got down next to the pit to coach them through the process. Came across a few who had never seen a VW before, let alone the underside. They were amazed at the independent suspension and rear engine! Gave them a story to tell to their friends. We put on 20k miles during that trip.
